Following on from the very successful delivery of this programme in 2016-17 and 2018-19, LTT is delighted to have been commissioned to deliver the LeadLincs Programme on behalf of the Lincolnshire Learning Partnership to a third cohort of aspiring primary headteachers in 2018-19.
Are you a senior leader within 12-24 months of applying for a headship? We are looking for passionate and dedicated senior leaders who will be looking to apply for their first headship or head of school position within the next 2 years.
Headteacher recruitment is challenging for many Lincolnshire schools, with many governing bodies having to re-advertise positions, or selecting from only a small field of candidates. LeadLincs aims to provide local aspiring school leaders with the skills, confidence and credibility to apply for these posts, increasing the number of suitable candidates in all areas of the county.
LeadLincs will provide 5 days of tailored face to face training and a 5 day placement with a partner school, working with an experienced Headteacher in leading school improvement.
Training will be based on the new headteacher standards, and will be planned following a 360 review of each of the participants.
Face to face days will led by inspirational national speakers, and experienced Headteachers – including National and Local Leaders of Education – from within and outside Lincolnshire.
Participants will have the support of a coach from their placement school, and will be expected to undertake key reading and to engage in an online community.
Participants will feel connected to a local vision for strategic improvement, collaboration, peer review, and system led leadership. The programme will develop confidence and inspire a passion for leadership in Lincolnshire.
The programme comes at no cost to all participants, with supply costs for the five placement days reimbursed to home schools. It is open to aspiring primary leaders in both maintained and academy schools in Lincolnshire. There are 15 places available therefore identification of participants will be through nomination by current Headteachers or governors, a written application and telephone interview.
We are also seeking experienced headteachers to host 5 day placements and to act as coach to their matched participant. Schools will be reimbursed for their Headteacher to be released for 1 day of attendance at a Launch & Induction event in September 2018.
