How do we, together, ensure that we can consistently meet our children’s needs, and give them greater choices and chances of taking their place in our City and beyond?
The Ambition Lincoln Project is funded by Lincolnshire County Council and is for schools and academies of all phases in the City of Lincoln. It will run from Spring 2021 until Summer 2022.
The project aims to draw on the collective capacity in the city to improve progress, outcomes and opportunities for the children and young people and to generate a culture of aspiration and high expectations for the future.
The focus will be in 4 key areas:
Team Around the City subgroups will be established to assess, harness and communicate the collective capacity in the city to support children and young people in their education and aspirations by working with key strategic leaders.
Team Around the School will work with schools to develop leadership capacity and strategic effectiveness. Focus will be on the ability to engage in effective self and peer evaluation, strategic improvement planning and implementation, and proactive leadership of improvement.
Team Around the Teacher will focus on the development of teachers, support staff and the wider workforce to enable them to meet children at the point of their need – learning needs, additional needs, mental health needs & behaviour needs.
Team Around the Learner will look at developing best practice for SEND, academic and behaviour transitions.
